The Voisin brothers workshop at Billancourt

In an ambience evocative of the images of artist workshops in the 19th century, some of the key figures in emerging aviation are gathered around the biplane with which Henri Farman won the Deutsch-Archdeacon prize in 1908. We can see the plane builders Gabriel and Charles Voisin, Henry Kapferer, the businessman Henry Deutsch de la Meurthe, as well as Baroness Raymonde de Laroche, the first licensed woman pilot.
